*over the weekend I watched this fascinating documentary entitled "Global Metal" which takes the viewer on a journey throughout Asia, Europe, South America and the Middle East to better understand the impact so-called 'metal' music has played on these cultures. Where the term 'globalization' has become a relevant new term in economics and politics, globalization has also greatly influenced music in how we hear it, obtain it and play it. This documentary obviously inspired me to feature a largely hard rock and metal playlist this week. Thank you for all your calls this week and continued support for what we do and enjoy. Next week will be far-less chaotic... but that doesn't mean you should put your leather pants and air guitar away.... -patrick
