*my first hip-hop band of the week. a momentous occasion indeed as b-sides explores new and uncharted waters. i've been interested in playing a variety of music lately as some of my old tastes have begun to taste rather like stale crackers....edible but lacking the crispness it once had. So a few months ago I stumbled upon DAN LE SAC vs. SCROOBIUS PIP and have been enamored with them ever since. one of the most creative hip-hop albums of the year, they seem to break the trend to which hip-hop is headed, giving room for growth, real writing ability and just plain hope for a genre which many people have been turned off to. i highly recommend their debut album 'angles', which you can find in stores and online.
